I want to say, first and foremost, that this is a splendid review and that I truly enjoyed reading it.

"...while it was a great movie, was also definitively the worst Spider-Man film."

Uh, what? What do you mean by "definitively"? If that's your least favorite Spider-Man movie, then you're entitled to your opinion. If you're saying that's the general consensus, then I believe you are mistaken. I haven't encountered anyone online or in-person who feels that way about Far From Home. Most people cite one of the Amazing Spider-Man films (which I don't agree with) or Spider-Man 3 (which I do agree with). Don't get me wrong: I don't think Spider-Man 3 is terrible, but it has the most flaws.

Thanks for the comment Christopher! Glad you enjoyed it.

Just a quick clarification: What I meant by that, and I generally find this to be the consensus anecdotally, is that Far from Home feels the *least* like a Spider-Man film. Part of Spider-Man’s ethos is the fact that he’s a “friendly neighborhood Spider-Man” and his core identity is in his protection of the people of NYC. The film being in Europe makes that theme entirely absent from the film.

It is actually not my least favorite of the films, but it is the least Spider-Man of the films.

The worst film is probably TASM 2 or Spider-Man 3, but I also think there’s a difference between “worst film” and “worst Spider-Man film.” Maybe “least” would have been a better categorization than “worst.”

Hope that helps!

Ok, that makes sense. Thank you for clarifying. In that case, I agree with you.
