Thérèse: The Story of Saint Thérèse of Lisieux (2004)

By Anthony Morales

Growing up in a Catholic Family, it is by no surprise that you would also grow up also with Catholic media and television. Alongside many Christian films, I was also privileged to grow up with a number of films concerning the lives of Catholic Saints such as John Bosco, Philip Neri, and the one whose film I will be writing about today, Saint Thérèse of Lisieux and the film about her directed by and starring Leonardo Defilippis. To my surprise, having rewatched this film since first seeing it over a decade ago I have found it to be more humble, simple, and intriguing than I would imagine.
