The Tron franchise has always been released at the dawn of a new technological age. The first film came out five years into the lifespan of the first mainstream video game console.
Good review. I have never really been into the Tron movies. In fact, I first saw them just recently because of my friend. In light of your statement that films humanizing AI need to end, what do you think about Blade Runner and other similar films?
it might be. that being said, they do currently have the highest-grossing film of the year, so expect no lessons to be taken...yet. 2026 may be what finally alarms them when Mandalorian & Grogu fails to crack $500M WW and Avengers: Doomsday gets out-grossed by the Sony-produced Spider-Man film
