This is an impressive line-up. A mix of American, British, and international titles made before and after the dissolution of the Hollywood Production Code. Pleasantly surprised to see both "Days of Wine and Roses" and "A Hard Day's Night" make it onto this list. Both are gems that are worth seeing.
I've seen The Sound of Music, and I think I saw The Longest Day a very long time ago, but otherwise, I've seen literally none of these. I guess I should watch more old movies!
I think all my fav top 10 (or at least, my top 20) made the list!
That decade was bursting with excellent films of different genres and origins, and it was really tough to just pick 10 best ones - and I even limited myself to those that would be acceptable to faithful Catholics. Very good roster, although a few of them I've yet to see.

Wow, that was fast! What a pleasantly unexpected surprise.
I am very glad to see that (almost) all of the exceptional Catholic films of this decade made the list, plus the Russian Orthodox film Andrei Rublev. It's too bad that The Virgin Spring (which I voted for) and The Gospel According to St. Matthew (which I didn't vote for) couldn't get in, but that's ok. This was certainly a notable decade for musicals, but the #1 best Hollywood musical was made in the 1950s. ☔😉
