Wonderful analysis and synthesis. This is film school stuff right here

Great article! Might I also suggest some significant movies I think have a significant place here, like The Andromeda Strain, Planet of the Apes, and Contact.

Thank you! Yes, those are great films. There were so many more I wanted to include in this article, but alas the constraints of length. One day, I would like to revisit with a more exhaustive amount.

Yeah, the more I think about it the more films I come up with! Looking forward to another article!

Do I hear a book coming on?

Science fiction is my favorite genre. I have a strong feeling that this will be my favorite series. I can't wait to see what movies you have selected!

As usual, your articles make me want to watch all these movies … (which in reality aren’t usually my favorite genre ;) but you make such a compelling case for them and help me appreciate them!!

Thanks haha. Now’s your chance to dive into some of them with me!

Really enjoyed the article. Is there an easy way in Substack to see other articles in this series?

The best way would probably be to look at our 100 More Movies list here: https://100catholicmovies.substack.com/s/100-more-movies That’s got the different series in order. Unfortunately Substack doesn’t make it easy unless you make dozens of individual little sections.
