I have an annoying and rebellious character, to the point that whatever my mother suggests, I instincts dislike. One of the most humbling lessons for me in this regard was watching Rear Window. I thought Hitchcock films, my mother's favorites, were supposed to be boring with no action. How this filme proved me wrong!

I wanted to like this but (1) it excessively and needlessly encourages lust in the voyeuristic scenes of the scantily-clad dancer in suggestive poses. There are tasteful ways to convey this without encouraging the audience to sin. (2) The ending was abrupt and anticlimactic.
It is amazing how Jeff sees the different possibilities in the windows. Hitchcock is my favorite director. What a storyteller. Great post, Edward.
